I have been in the hospital with my catheter again. This time it was my fault, but that's not why I am writing this. I went to accident and emergency at around 3 pm and the wait was supposed to be approximately 4.5 hours. by 7.30 pm all had changed.
The online countdown had stopped working and people were talking about nine-hour waits. I finally got in and there were no trollies so I had to wait again so the doctor could find one. He finally did, then decided to send me to the ward......with no beds.
The people waiting were all sat in a room. At around 2 pm I finally got to see a urologist, who dare not do the work as all she had done for a long time was work on nights in ear, nose and throat! I went home a little later but had to be back by nine
the next morning to see a urologist.
How are the hospitals coping these days? Ours is only a little hospital, and when it was built it was obviously not big enough, it definitely is not! When in accident and emergency trollies cannot be found to
treat people on because sick people are taking them all up, and doctors time is wasted trying to find beds for people, ours is not!
